Project overview

Located by Heathrow Airport, Bedfont Lakes is a business park containing 3 office buildings overlooking the nearby countryside. The site has a range of amenities and proved an ideal location to have EV charging installed.

Through an initial consultation with EVC, the site was assessed to determine the best course of action. This included carrying out a site survey, during which EVC visited the site to assess the optimal number and type of chargers, as well as how electricity should be supplied. It was decided that 5 22kW dual socket chargers would best suit the location, providing 10 bays of EV charging.

Having the option to charge at work is an excellent benefit for employees, as not everybody is able to charge at home. It also helps to identify businesses that value the planet and sustainable practices, which is important to many – installing EV charging at the workplace helps with hiring and retaining employees.

The client opted for EVC’s management solution, wherein they paid for the chargers whilst EVC provide the maintenance, management, and ongoing support. This means EVC are available to quickly deal with any charging issues should they arise, so users always have access to convenient charging.
