Craxton Wood Hotel & Spa is a stunning hotel offering a peaceful and relaxing stay to its guests, located just outside of Cheshire. With a variety of spa and leisure facilities to offer as well as accommodation, EVC recognised Craxton Wood as the perfect location for EV charging facilities.
The hotel is owned by Macdonald Hotels & Spas, who EVC have partnered with to make sure their hotels are ready for the rise in EV drivers.
Understanding the need for hotels to offer EV charging in order to attract this growing group of people, EVC visited the location to determine the plan for installation. After the site survey was complete, 2 22kW dual socket chargers were installed in the hotel’s car park, providing 4 bays for EV charging.
Looking to future-proof the hotel, EVC also recommended having further infrastructure installed so that additional chargers can be seamlessly added when required. It was agreed that the infrastructure for 6 bays would be suitable for the hotel, so Craxton Wood Hotel & Spa is well equipped for the ever increasing demand for EV chargers.
EV charging facilities in hotels have become an extremely valuable amenity in recent years, as it provides EV drivers with the peace of mind that they can enjoy their stay whilst their vehicle charges. It’s also a simple way to boost hotel revenue and keep rooms full, as this amenity opens the hotel to a wider clientele (EV drivers!).
The install was carried out on EVC’s management solution, meaning EVC will provide ongoing support and maintenance of the chargers for the hotel.
