Project overview

Located in the picturesque town of Midhurst in the South Downs National Park, The Spread Eagle Hotel is a charming hotel and spa that dates back to 1430.

Noticing the increasing number of EV drivers, the hotel sought to prepare for the future by getting EV charging installed. For people who drive electric, it’s important to have a convenient place to top up. Hotels are an ideal destination for EV charging, as it enables people to charge up during their stay, giving them one less thing to think about on the journey home.

EVC arranged a visit to carry out a site survey, where the installation process was discussed and research was carried out to identify the best approach. Once this was finalised, the EVC team installed 2 22kW dual socket chargers in the car park – a total of 4 charging bays for guests.

Opting for EVC’s management solution, the client paid for the chargers, and EVC will provide ongoing support and maintenance so that the chargers are always working to the highest standard.

The Spread Eagle Hotel & Spa is now ready to welcome a whole new group of guests, helping to keep their rooms full and the planet clean!
