Project overview

St James House is a high-quality office building situated in a prominent position in Cheltenham’s main office core. Managed by multinational asset management company, Schroders, in partnership with their agent MAPP, St James house required an EV charging solution to cater for employees at the multi-tenanted office block.

As part of MAPP’s ongoing relationship with EVC, the charge point operator was commissioned to conduct an initial site survey at St James House. During this process, the available power on site was determined alongside the optimum number of charging sockets to deal with current and future demand.

During the consultation stage, it was agreed that St James House would require six 22kW dual socket EV chargers. The installation of these chargers would provide employees of the office block with a convenient place to charge during their work day. The chargers would also be made available to visitors of the businesses at St James House.

The installation was completed in 3 days to cause minimum disruption to the tenants of St James House. Schroders opted for EVC’s Managed Service, meaning the client invested in their chargers and EVC supplied chargers, installation and ongoing management and maintenance of the EV chargers.
