Project overview
The Wilton Centre is one of the UK’s largest research and development sites, containing modern office and lab spaces to support businesses working in circle economy, life science, sustainable processing and manufacturing technology. The centre is part of The Pioneer Group, a leading science and technology park operator, and a valued EVC partner. The Wilton Centre partnered with EVC to develop its bespoke EV charging solutions onsite, with the aim of improving its sustainability initiatives and helping to reduce its carbon footprint.
After an initial consultation and site visit to decide on the optimal charging solution, EVC installed twenty 22kW dual outlet chargers, providing 40 EV charging bays in the centre’s car park. EVC carried out the installation on its fully-funded solution, which includes ongoing maintenance and management of the chargers at zero cost to the centre. The client will benefit from additional revenue generation through a profit share as people make use of the chargers.
The installation of EV chargers at The Wilton Centre is a significant stride forward towards making EV charging more accessible, in turn creating a greener space to work. The centre can now attract higher numbers of eco-conscious businesses and employees due to the provision of EV charging, a key employee benefit in the new electric era.
